DailyTask ("we", "our", or "us") is a to-do list and daily planner app for Android, published by Socialmailz. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information.

1. Overview

DailyTask is designed to work offline:

  • We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information.
  • Your tasks, subtasks, categories, notes, and reminders are stored only on your device, in the app's local database.
  • We do not run any servers that receive or store your task data.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

  • Personal identification: The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any login.
  • Location data: The app does not access your GPS or network location.
  • Analytics, ads, and tracking: The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
  • Financial data: The app does not collect or process payment information.

3. Permissions and How They Are Used

DailyTask requests only the permissions needed for its reminder features. None of them are used to collect or extract your personal data.

  1. POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13 and above): Used to show reminder notifications when your tasks are due. You can turn this off anytime in Android Settings.
  2. SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM: Used so that task reminders are delivered at the exact time you set.
  3. RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Used to reschedule your reminders automatically after your phone restarts.
  4. VIBRATE: Used to vibrate your phone when a reminder notification arrives.
  5. RECORD_AUDIO: Used only when you tap the microphone button to add a task by voice. Speech-to-text is handled by your device's speech recognition service (for example, Google's), which may process your voice according to its own privacy policy. DailyTask does not record, save, or store your audio.

4. Data Storage and Your Control

  • Local storage: Your data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
  • Control and deletion: You can edit, complete, or delete any task, subtask, or category at any time inside the app.
  • Complete erase: Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage from your device settings permanently removes all DailyTask data from your device.

5. Third-Party Services

DailyTask does not share your data with third parties and does not show third-party advertisements.

6. Children's Privacy

DailyTask does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region). The app does not collect personal data from any user.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
