1. Who we are
Focus Blocker Pro (package name: com.focus_blocker, the “app”) is an Android app developed by REVAMINE TECHNOLOGIES (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with information when you use it.
2. What the app does
Focus Blocker Pro helps you stay focused. You choose the apps that distract you, and the app shows a full-screen block screen whenever you try to open one of them while blocking is active. Blocking can be active in three ways:
- Focus session – you start a timer (a preset duration or a custom number of minutes) and your chosen apps are blocked until it ends or you stop the session.
- Schedules – you set days and start/end times, and blocking switches on automatically during those times.
- Quick Block – a switch on the home screen that blocks your chosen apps until you switch it off.
The block screen shows the name of the blocked app, the time remaining when a timed session or schedule is running, and a button to go back to your home screen.
3. Information the app handles on your phone
To work, the app handles the following information. All of it is processed and stored locally on your device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.
| Information | Why it is needed | Where it is kept | Leaves your phone? |
|---|---|---|---|
| List of apps on your phone that have a launcher icon (app name, icon, package name) | To show the “choose apps to block” screen | Read when you open that screen and shown on screen only. It is not saved as a list. | No |
| The apps you chose to block (their package names) | To know which apps to block | Private app storage on your phone | No |
| Schedules and sessions you create (schedule name, days, start and end time, the blocking-mode setting offered in the schedule screen, and the start and end time of a focus session) | To start and stop blocking at the right time | Private app storage on your phone | No |
| App settings (vibration on/off, Quick Block on/off, whether the welcome screens were completed) | To remember your preferences | Private app storage on your phone | No |
| Which app is currently open on screen | To decide whether the app in front of you is one you chose to block. This is checked only while blocking is active, using the Usage Access permission. | Held in the phone’s memory only while the blocker is running. It is not written to storage, not logged, and not sent anywhere. | No |
4. Information we do not collect
The app does not collect, record or transmit:
- your name, email address, phone number or any account details (the app has no accounts);
- your location;
- your contacts, messages, call history, photos, files, camera or microphone data;
- your browsing history or the content of any other app;
- a history of how long you use other apps;
- advertising IDs or other device identifiers for tracking.
Although the Usage Access permission technically allows an app to read app-usage statistics, Focus Blocker Pro only uses it to see which app has just come to the foreground, as described in section 3.
5. Permissions and why they are needed
The app asks for the permissions below. You can review or withdraw them at any time in your phone’s Settings. If you withdraw a required permission, blocking will stop working.
| Permission | What it is used for |
|---|---|
Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) |
To detect which app has just been opened, so the app can block the ones you selected. The information is used on your phone only and is not stored or shared. |
Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) |
To show the block screen on top of a restricted app when you try to open it. It is not used to show ads or to cover system screens for any other purpose. |
Alarms & reminders (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM) |
To start and stop your scheduled sessions at the exact time you set. |
Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE) |
To keep the blocker running reliably while blocking is active. Android shows an ongoing notification while it runs. |
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) – optional |
To show the small “Blocking active” status notification. Blocking can work without it. |
Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) |
To restore an active session or schedule after your phone restarts. The app also re-checks its schedule when the phone’s time, time zone or the app itself is updated. |
Vibrate (VIBRATE) |
To give a small vibration when you tap buttons. You can turn this off in the app’s Settings. |
The app lists your launchable apps through Android’s package-visibility mechanism for apps that have a launcher icon. It does not request the broad “query all packages” permission.
6. Internet, third parties and Google Play
- No Internet permission. The app does not request permission to connect to the Internet.
- No third-party services. The app does not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software from other companies, and it has no login.
- No purchases in this version. The app currently has no in-app purchases. If paid features are added in the future, this policy will be updated first.
- Google Play. If you installed the app from Google Play, Google handles the download and may collect its own information about installs, updates and app crashes under Google’s Privacy Policy. That is separate from the app itself, and we do not control it.
7. Storage, security and deleting your data
- Your settings are kept in the app’s private storage on your phone, which other apps cannot normally access.
- Android’s automatic cloud backup is switched off for this app, so its data is not copied to your Google account through that feature.
- No system is perfectly secure. For example, a phone that is rooted or already compromised may expose app data. Because the app holds no personal information, the information at stake is limited to your list of blocked apps, schedules and settings.
- To delete your data: remove an app from your block list or delete a schedule inside the app, or open your phone’s Settings → Apps → Focus Blocker Pro → Storage → Clear data, or simply uninstall the app. Because we do not hold your data on any server, there is nothing further for us to delete.
8. Children
The app is not designed specifically for children. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
9. Your choices
- Choose which apps to block, and change or remove them at any time.
- Turn vibration off in the app’s Settings.
- Withdraw any permission in your phone’s Settings.
- Uninstall the app whenever you wish.
Since we do not collect or hold your personal information, there is no personal data on our side to access, correct or export. If you have a question about your privacy, please contact us (section 11).
10. Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app changes how information is handled (for example by adding ads, analytics, accounts, purchases or an Internet connection), we will update this policy and the “Last updated” date before that version is released. Please check this page from time to time.
