SilenceCut ("the App") is developed and published by REVAMINE TECHNOLOGIES ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being completely transparent about how our application works.

This Privacy Policy explains how SilenceCut handles your data, permissions, and media files.

1. Our Core Privacy Principle: 100% On-Device Processing

SilenceCut is designed as an offline utility tool.

  • Zero Cloud Uploads: All audio analysis, waveform generation, silence detection, cutting, and encoding happen exclusively on your device using your phone's local processor.
  • No External Servers: Your audio recordings, voice notes, and exported files are never uploaded to, processed on, or transmitted through our servers or any third-party cloud infrastructure.

2. Information We Collect

We do NOT collect, store, sell, or share any personal information.

Specifically:

  • No Personal Data: We do not collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, or device identifiers (IMEI, Android ID, MAC address).
  • No Account Required: You do not need to register, log in, or provide any credentials to use SilenceCut.
  • No Audio Data Stored by Us: Your original audio files and processed audio files remain solely in your device storage or in your private cache directory until you choose to delete or share them.

3. Permissions & Storage Access

SilenceCut adheres strictly to the principle of least privilege and Google Play Developer Program policies.

  • Android System File Picker (Zero Broad Storage Permissions): SilenceCut does not request broad storage permissions such as READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE. Instead, we use the standard Android Storage Access Framework (SAF). When you choose a file, you grant the App temporary, sandboxed read access only to that specific audio file selected by you.
  • Saving Exported Files: Processed audio files are saved using the official Android MediaStore API directly into your device's public audio/music storage so you can easily access and play them with your preferred media player.
  • No Internet Permission for Audio Processing: The audio editing engine functions entirely offline without requiring an active internet connection.

4. Third-Party Services and Analytics

  • No Advertising SDKs: SilenceCut does not integrate any third-party ad networks such as AdMob or Unity Ads.
  • No Tracking or User Profiling: We do not include third-party tracking scripts, cookies, or behavioral analytics tools.
  • System Crash Reports: If your Android system settings permit Google Play to collect anonymous crash reports, Google may provide basic anonymous stack traces via the Google Play Console to help us fix technical bugs. These reports contain no personal or audio data.

5. Children's Privacy

SilenceCut is a general utility tool and does not solicit or collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because no personal information is collected, our app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR-K.

6. Security of Your Data

Because SilenceCut processes all data locally on your device and does not transmit files over the internet, your audio files are protected by your device's built-in Android sandbox security. Temporary files created during the editing session in the app's cache are deleted automatically once the session is completed or closed.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect updates to the application or relevant legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
